Support: Installation
IMPACT can be installed in several ways, depending on how you obtained IMPACT. It also depends on whether you want to run IMPACT in a single user or multiple user environment. That is, do you want to run IMPACT on a single PC with one user, or do you want to run IMPACT over a network and have several users accessing your data simultaneously.
For a single user on one PC:
If you obtained a demonstration copy of IMPACT from the SDS website, the download process properly sets up the IMPACT files. To change the demonstration copy of IMPACT to a production copy, follow the instructions on the opening form of the demonstration copy.
If you obtained a copy of IMPACT from SDS, follow the instructions provided with the installation CD.
For all other installation options, including network installations, we recommend that you have SDS perform the installation.
In addition, the purchase of IMPACT includes four hours of installation support. This is generally used to guide you in setting up any unique administrative information for your organization, as well as to provide some initial IMPACT training. If you do not require conversion of your existing data, you can now begin entering your live data into IMPACT. For more specific details, see the IMPACT Installation Contract.
