Support: Conversion
For most organizations, conversion to IMPACT is relatively straight forward, depending on the nature of your data and how much of your existing history you may want to keep.
If you have a small amount of data, it may be easier for you to simply start with a "blank" IMPACT database and rekey the information. This option may be used if you are a very small organization, or if you have just started business and have a small number of patrons.
If you have a substantial amount of data, SDS personnel can use a "standard" set of conversion routines that will convert the majority, if not all, of your data to IMPACT format. These routines take your organization's data that is in, or has been exported into Excel, and properly loads this data into IMPACT. In some cases, custom routines may have to be written to convert historical information.
