Some additional background on IMPACTIMPACT was designed as a commercial application. What does that mean? It means that IMPACT is feature rich and was "generalized" so that many different organizations can use IMPACT without requiring individual change. It means that different methods of construction were used to provide you with flexibility. And, it means that most of the codes within IMPACT have underlying tables that you control so that you can adjust the system to your specific needs.
Most information within your organization is date sensitive. So, IMPACT attaches dates to all significant data. That way you can view current as well as historical information that is pertinent to your organization.
IMPACT is also infused with old school integrity that comes from my years of experience in the accounting and business world. It contains security, audit trails, editing, and balancing mechanisms to ensure the integrity of your data. It is clearly and consistently designed, and makes good use of colors, formatting, and white space. IMPACT uses the built-in Microsoft Access features to ensure that the values you enter are as correct as possible. And, we think it looks nice!
A little more about the IMPACT Help system. You can access help information through a table of contents, an index, or through a special keyword search feature. In addition, IMPACT supports "cue cards," which are smaller forms that contain specific steps that you follow to perform a task and REMAIN on the screen WHILE you perform the function.
Information TrackingWith IMPACT you can track:- speakers, volunteers, participants, and monies at a fund-raising dinner
- guides and participants at a nature walk or other nature activity
- artists and visitors at an artistic event or demonstration
- teachers and students at an in-school activity or program
or any other combination of patrons and activities that you can define.
You can also track:- donations, as well as pledges
- membership information
- patron relationships, notes, and attributes
- patron actions (contacts), such as e-mails, phone calls, mailings
as well as a lot of biographic and demographic information.
Expandable and Easy-to-UseIMPACT comes with a robust inquiry and reporting system. And, IMPACT comes with a complete online tutorial and a comprehensive online Help system.
IMPACT also has many different modules, which allows you to adapt IMPACT to your specific requirements.

IMPACT is written in Microsoft Access, one of the components of the Microsoft Professional suite of applications. This means that IMPACT can run in a single user or multiple user client/server environment that will give you high performance and maintain data integrity. Microsoft Access is one of the most popular application development tools available.
